• Proper handling of all firearms

• Operating principles and parts of semi-automatic rifles

• Operating principles and parts of ammunition

• Best safety practices for training with and the carrying of any firearm

• Flat range rules, etiquette, and safety

• Rifle loading and unloading 

• Basic stances, target acquisition, sight picture, breathing, trigger press, follow-through

• Basic malfunction recognition and remedies

• Rifle maintenance and storage
